Dr. Darren Stewart, world-renowned physicist

in charge of NASA’s massive time travel

complex in the White Sands Missile Range,

needs to get a life but has no idea how—until

he meets White House deputy press secretary

Tracey Loring. After a weekend rendezvous

in Santa Fe, a romance blossoms between the two.

Concerned that the successful development

of time travel capability represents a threat,

members of an advanced civilization from a

distant time kidnap Darren. Under the authority

of the president of the United States, Tracey

assembles a skeleton crew and activates

NASA’s experimental facility to attempt a

rescue. Darren and Tracey are reunited but

become entangled in a conflict between two

civilizations, each competing for its own survival.

In their endeavor to broker a peaceful resolution,

Darren and Tracey unravel the mystery of UFOs,

unlock the secret of the pyramids and discover the

missing link to our human origins.

THE LOST PORTAL (COMING IN 2009)

Building on his novel, The First Migration, Daniel Logan

returns to the haunting red-rock vistas and the ancient

civilizations of the desert Southwest to write The Lost Portal.

Having studied the pictographs of the Sinagua culture at the

Pilatki ruins in Arizona and explored the cliff dwellings at

Canyon de Chelly and the Anasazi pueblos in Chaco Canyon,

Logan writes a fascinating tale of an enigma left behind by an

advanced, lost civilization.

The Lost Portal is set against a backdrop of a severe drought

on the Western Slope of the Continental Divide. In the story,

Darren Stewart, manager of NASA's time travel project, is

approached by a former member of the U.S. Geophysical Team

in the Antarctic, who is desperate for help in restoring his life.

Darren and the man begin a search for an ancient craft—lost

for more than a thousand years in the mythology of Native

American cultures in the Southwest. In their quest, the two

men seek the key to unlock a timeless riddle.

CHILDREN'S STORIES

Logan offers a series of illustrated stories about

Tyler, a six-year-old boy who learns some of life's valuable

lessons from ethereal (but positive) mentors.

Tyler learns to obey his parents in an encounter with an

ancient Anasazi.

Tyler learns to play the piano with feeling when Lyra, a

Musical Muse, substitutes for his regular teacher.

Tyler learns to accept responsibility for his own mistakes

when he meets a Rare, Daytime Goblin.

Tyler learns to pay attention by helping Rookie, a

Reckless Reindeer, qualify for Santa's team.

Also included in this book is a very short Christmas story,

The Sleigh, about Santa as a boy discovering a sleigh that

only he could fly!
